JurnyOn is a loyalty and discount-based rail discount app, built around Advance fares on the Transport for Wales network. It covers trains within Wales as well as routes to and from cities like Manchester, Birmingham, Chester, and more.

Here’s how it works:

You get discounted Advance tickets
You earn 1 Eco Point per mile travelled
You can use those points to cover your monthly plan

It’s similar to a railcard — but more flexible. There’s no long-term commitment, and you’re rewarded based on how often you actually travel.

🆓 What do I get during the free trial?

When you start using JurnyOn, you’re given a free one-month trial of the Platinum plan, which gives you:

✅ 35% off all Advance tickets on TfW services

✅ Full access to earn Eco Points

✅ No payment required — it’s completely free

During the trial, you won’t see or be able to change your plan — the Platinum tier is active automatically. You’ll get all available options once the trial ends.

⏳ What happens when the trial ends?

When your free trial finishes:

You won’t be charged automatically
You’ll get the option to choose from three discount plans
You can pay using cash or your Eco Points
Or do nothing — and your discount simply ends

There’s no automatic renewal, and nothing continues unless you want it to.

🔄 Coming soon: You’ll be able to buy Advance tickets without subscribing and still earn Eco Points. So if you’d rather build up rewards over time and use them later for a free discount month, that’s completely possible — and completely optional.

🤔 Is this more expensive than a Railcard?

It depends. If you travel regularly and already have a Railcard, that may still be your best option. But JurnyOn is aimed at people who:

Don’t qualify for a Railcard (e.g. you’re aged 31–59)
Only travel during certain months
Don’t want to commit to a full year upfront

With JurnyOn, you only pay when you actually use it — and you can stop or pause at any time.

🌿 What are Eco Points and how do they work?

Eco Points are part of the loyalty system — you earn 1 point per mile travelled on TfW Advance tickets booked through the app. Then you can:

Use points to pay for future discount months
Keep earning even if you pause your plan (soon)
Combine cash + points, or go points-only if you’ve earned enough

Example: A return trip from Cardiff to Manchester (around 380 miles) earns you 380 points — almost enough to unlock a full month on the Gold plan.
